Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is available at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital, covering
inpatients, outpatients, long-term care and home health. The goal of Occupational Therapy is to have each patient function on the level of their highest potential, caring for themselves.

Patients with strokes, hip fractures, hand patients, pediatrics, generalized weakness or cognitive disorders are cared for on a one-to one basis.

Therapeutic exercises and activities, activities of daily living skills training, upper extremity splinting and adaptive equipment and training, as well as cognitive skills training are available.

Occupational therapy must be prescribed by the patient’s physician.
